A Victorian Day in Saratoga Derby Tour's newest and fastest growing activity Designed for groups of at least 25, those who are coming to Saratoga as part of a bus tour or for a conference, this day has it all. We start with a tour of one of the mansions where we have pastries and tea or coffee. This is followed by a bus tour (we step on your bus) of the city. With so many fine restaurants in Saratoga, lunch can either be “on your own,” or we can recommend places where you can make arrangements for everyone to eat together. After lunch we visit the Saratoga Springs History Museum to see the exhibits and hear the tragic story of the Walworth Family. The day ends with a tour at a second mansion. The tours, excluding lunch, usually take about five hours, with everyone wishing the experience went on even longer. Since the mansions are private properties the tours have to be arranged in advance. For those attending a convention or conference in the city, the bus tours can be replaced by a walking tour with car pooling to the mansions and museum. Note: All the venues have stairs and do not have elevators. If you are interested in arranging a tour contact us on Facebook - DerbyTours or call 518-495-7012. |
